About Bulgaria

Bulgaria is a southeastern European country located in the south east of Balkans peninsula. It is bordered by Romania, Serbia, Greece, Turkey, and the Black Sea to the east. The Danube is a border river between Bulgaria and Romania. Sofia, the capital city of Bulgaria, is located in the western part of the country. It is the largest city of Bulgaria, as well as political, economic and cultural center of Bulgaria.

Located at the border of Europe and Asia, Bulgaria has a cultural fusion of Thrace, Byzantium and Romania. In addition to its diversity of geographical features, Bulgaria is a country containing precious culture and beautiful scenery. Bulgaria is famous for its rose-growing industry and thus is regarded as the ‘Kingdom of Rose’.

In order to boost its economy and attract investment, Bulgaria launched the investment immigration policy in 2009 and revised its civil laws in 2013 that allow foreign investor to obtain an EU passport by a fast and legal track.

Application of Permanent Residency

Applicant must be above the age of 18
No record of criminal issues
Invest €512,000 in 5-year government debt or pay at least €180,000 for loan interest

Application of citizenship

Residency of 5 years; or
After granting the permanent residency for one year, applicants can apply for citizenship by investing ab extra €512,000 in 2-year government debt or paying at least €120,000 for loan interest
